A newly sealed path and driveway make it even easier to navigate this lovely property. 200m to Brambuk aboriginal cultural centre and Parks Victoria Information Centre where you can hire an off-road trail wheelchair to explore the incredible surroundings of Halls Gap.

There is an adjustable king-size electric bed in the main bedroom that can be separated into 2 long single beds (by request at the time of booking). These beds have a high-low function, head and leg raise function, massage function and large lockable castors suitable.. The beds lowest height is 675mm (top of the mattress to the floor) and the highest is 955mm There is a ceiling track for a hoist that goes right across the room. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed. There is a slow combustion wood heater in the main living area to heat the house, all rooms have other heating options. The fully double glazed windows ensure that you have year-round comfort. A split system air conditioner and ceiling fans will cool you if it gets hot. The larger of the 2 bathrooms has a large fully accessible step-free shower space with a weighted curtain and a disabled toilet with grab rails on the wall on its right side. The shower has a fixed head or a handheld head selected by a knob at the tap. The handheld head also has wall brackets at different heights. A shower commode can be available if required. The smaller bathroom has a generous size single person spa bath with a ceiling track over for a hoist and a standard type toilet. Both of the bathrooms have commercial non slip vinyl floors for safety. Hot water is instant gas with digital temperature controllers, one in each bathroom, and one in the kitchen near the sink. The precise water temperature can be selected for your comfort. One end of the larger bathroom has an automatic washing machine and laundry tub. There is a clothes dryer mounted just outside the laundry door. There is an undercover clothesline in the deck area and a clothes horse for drying essentials in front of the fire. The living space has an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area with an island bench, and a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge, wall oven, microwave, hot plates, and dishwasher. A pantry cupboard and ample crockery etc are provided for fully self-contained living. The kitchen benches are 900mm high and the dining table seats 6 people. There is also seating, a table, and a Weber barbeque out on the undercover deck area. The lounge area has a wall-mounted smart TV, DVD player, cd player, and a selection of DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment. There is an electric recliner/lift chair, and there is also a 3 seater couch with each end having a reclining option as well. Free wifi (limited) is available. There is parking space for 2 vehicles (not undercover) and a fully accessible ramp to get to the front door. Linen and towels are provided.

Shady Gums Grampians Accessible Accommodation has many exciting outdoor activities for guests to enjoy all around Shady Gums. There is the town's accessible bike/walking path that passes nearby to the front of the property. This beautiful sealed accessible trail passes all of the local attractions for you to enjoy, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, art galleries, a microbrewery, swimming pool, and Brambuk Indigenous cultural centre. Other activities to be enjoyed include many beautiful bushwalking trails including Baroka and Reid's lookouts and the Balconies (all wheelchair accessible) and the beautiful famous McKenzie falls that have an accessible path to a viewing area. Book the Parks Victoria Trailrider (all-terrain wheelchair) and adventure up the mountains with some sherpas. (subject to availability of Sherpa volunteers ) Enjoy a great wheelchair ride in some of the more remote areas of the park. There is fishing in the lakes, winery tours, Halls Gap zoo, where there is an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the animals. Art Galleries- Morvell Gallery is the home of World Famous Wildlife artist, Steve Morvell. Brambuk Indigenous Centre has cultural activities including bushtucker tours, boomerang throwing, aboriginal art tours. (subject to availability) Brambuk Aboriginal cultural centre and Parks Victoria information centre there is an all-terrain wheelchair ( trail rider ) available for loan. With the help of able-bodied people from your own group or by prior arrangement of Sherpa volunteers through Parks, you can get off the smooth tracks and into more bushwalking areas that would otherwise be unavailable for wheelchair users.
