Carinya offers a private, tranquil setting approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Byron’s world-famous beaches, cafes and restaurants, and just 5 minutes away from the picturesque historic town of Bangalow. A short car trip to local venues/places of interest that are wheelchair accessible such as:
- Byron Shire Council have made Beach Wheelchairs available through the local Lifeguards on patrol. Beach Wheelchair Hire.
- Macadamia Castle: You can easily fill a morning here. Lots of animals to see and they have a section where kids can pat the small animals. The entire facility is wheelchair friendly.
- Victoria Park Nature Reserve in Dalwood - accessible boardwalk. A 30-minute drive from Carinya. This short 15-30 minute walk/wheel is an excellent activity to combine with other sightseeing in the region.
- Summerland House Farm is a 30-minute drive, The playground includes a wheelchair accessible carousel and basket swing.
- Byron Bay solar-powered train: The accessible train runs along a three-kilometre coastal track, linking the town centre with the North Beach Precinct and Byron Arts Estate.

Cancellation policy
You can cancel or modify your booking until 5 days before your arrival date. A full cancellation fee of 100% of the reservation applies if you cancel your booking in the 5 days, including no-shows.
Terms & Conditions
Departure clean: Please note, the property must be left in a reasonably clean condition upon your check out. Extra cleaning fees will be charged if the property is not returned in this manner.
Noise: We are in farmland however we do have neighbours. Please respect our neighbours and other guests and keep noise to a minimum. Unreasonable noise will not be tolerated after 9.00 pm.
Parties & functions: Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. This property is located in the Byron Shire area which has a strict no party policy. No weddings, parties or large gatherings are permitted. Schoolies, bucks or hens groups are not suitable for this property.??
Animals: Pets are not permitted on the premises. Keep screen doors/windows closed at all times to avoid unwanted outside animals. Please note that if a pet is found to be staying on the property a $500 fee will be charged.
Smoking: All villas are non-smoking inside. Any traces of residual smoke inside will incur an additional cleaning charge. Any additional costs of dry-cleaning of soft furnishings may be added as deemed necessary.?
Damages & breakages: The cost of repair or replacement of any item due to damage and/or breakages will incur an additional charge. If the guest notices any item broken, it must be reported upon arrival. Damaged or broken items reported on or after the exit date will be considered damage caused by the guests and will be charged accordingly.
Number of guests: Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the confirmation notice unless subsequently agreed in writing or email. Additional fees will apply for excess guests who are not approved.?
